Ather invited some of its community members to test ride the 450 Apex, with a launch set to take place next year. The electric two-wheeler manufacturer had recently also revealed that the updated 450 range will offer best-in-class features, but of course, extra performance and features would result in a premium price tag. No specs are performance figures of the Ather 450 Apex are available with us yet. Ather has also stayed hush hush about the features and the design of the flagship offering. That said, Ather did reveal its plans of introducing another scooter, which will likely be the most affordable Ather electric scooter. The affordable e-scooter will actually be a dedicated family scooter which will be ‘bigger’ than the current 450 series, offering not only more space, but also focused on providing more comfort.
The Ather 450 is currently offered in two trims – 450S and 450X, with the former currently priced from Rs 1.30 lakh and the latter from Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. The top-spec Ather 450X with the bigger 3.7 kWh battery pack offers a claimed range of 150 km on a single charge, while both variants offer a 90 kmph top speed.
