Apollo Tyres’ EnduTrax Tyres Transport Over 50 Billion Tonnes: A Technological Milestone |

To showcase its technological prowess in the truck and bus radial segment, Apollo Tyres hosted a first-of-its-kind experiential drive event at the National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX) facility in Indore.
During the event, over 70 fleet owners, business partners, and other participants gathered to get hands-on experience with the EnduTrax range, designed for the commercial vehicle sector. The motive of this exercise was the opportunity to test the durability, uptime, and grip of the EnduTrax tyres on a specially designed track. This track featured various challenging terrains such as slush pits, dirt gradients, gravel, and more, to test the tyres’ capabilities under real-world conditions.
Vikram Garga, Marketing Head of Apollo Tyres for the APMEA region, speaking to us, said, “In its five-year journey, the EnduTrax range has successfully transported over 50 billion tonnes. Additionally, we maintain a strong market share of 30-35 percent in a segment where over 2 lakh tyres are sold monthly.”

EnduTrax range: Tech behind these tyres
Tipper trucks often navigate challenging terrains during their journeys, alternating between rough off-road conditions and smoother roads. According to the company, these tyres, designed for “durability, mileage, and resistance to cuts and chips”, include features such as ACTO casing and elastomer matrix technology, along with precise manufacturing operations.
In simpler words, the layering of this range is carefully designed to withstand heavy loads while also providing high-speed performance on paved surfaces. Compared to regular tipper truck tyres, the company says it has additionally reinforced the bead area (the edge of the tyre that sits on the rim) to ensure durability and stability.
Further, in order to minimize cuts and chips, the manufacturer has used layered elastomer technology. This means that the tyre is composed of different layers, ensuring that as it wears down over time, the tougher rubber layers are exposed. In essence, the success of the EnduTrax is driven by the company’s expertise in “carcass and compounding technologies”, offering a balance of strength and resilience.
