Feb. 5

PETTY THEFT/POSSESSION OF NARCOTIC CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, BURGLARY TOOLS: 8:32 p.m. in the 1000 block of South Bascom Avenue. A man entered a store and stole merchandise. He was contacted as he was leaving the store and admitted to the theft. He was also in possession of burglary tools, stolen property, drug paraphernalia and cocaine and was found to be under the influence of a stimulant.

Feb. 6

BATTERY: 11:25 a.m. in the 100 block of Rose Court. A woman reported that during an argument with her boyfriend, he threw a phone at her and almost hit her. He fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.

ASSAULT: 5:07 p.m. in the 1000 block of Lenor Way. A man was intoxicated and assaulted his 75-year-old mother.

Feb. 7

DUI/POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 3:10 a.m. at San Tomas Expressway and West Hamilton Avenue. A man was involved in a collision and displayed objective signs and symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. He was in possession of fentanyl and Xanax.

PETTY THEFT: 9:23 p.m. in the 1000 block of South Bascom Avenue. A transient man stole toilet paper and fled.

Feb. 8

PETTY THEFT: 12:15 a.m. in the 600 block of Laura Drive. A woman saw her adult son steal her purse from the living room. Inside of the purse were her car keys, and when she went outside a short time later, the vehicle was missing.

VIOLATING A COURT ORDER: 7:08 p.m. in the 700 block of East Campbell Avenue. A woman reported that the suspect had sent various explicit pictures of her to hundreds of people without her consent. They were in a prior dating relationship and have an active restraining order protecting the woman.

Feb. 9

LEWD ACT IN PUBLIC/ CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 9:39 a.m. in the 1500 block of West Campbell Avenue. A man was outside of a business, and two employees saw him with his hand down his pants, moving it in a stroking-like motion. Both employees believed the man was masturbating. The man had four active felony warrants for his probation and displayed objective signs and symptoms of being under the influence of a stimulant.

PETTY THEFT: 2:31 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. The suspect entered a business, grabbed numerous pieces of merchandise and exited the store without paying.

ORGANIZED RETAIL THEFT/ POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 7:53 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. Two women entered a store with a large handbag and stole merchandise. They were stopped as they exited the store with the stolen items and arrested. A vehicle search located approximately 1 gram of cocaine and 311 grams of marijuana.

Feb. 10

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, PARAPHERNALIA: 11:13 a.m. in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue. Two men and a woman were contacted at a business. The men were each found to be in possession of methamphetamine and glass smoking pipes. One man concealed his methamphetamine. The woman had multiple outstanding felony warrants.

PETTY THEFT: 4:10 p.m. in the 2000 block of Winchester Boulevard. Someone stole a purse containing $475 and three pairs of glasses from a shopping cart that was in the parking lot.

DUI/POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 9:53 p.m. at  Burrows Road and West Hacienda Avenue. A man  was reported as driving on one bare rim and appeared to have been involved in an accident. He was found to be DUI and was in possession of a plastic baggie with suspected methamphetamine.

Feb. 11

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM: 1:43 a.m. at South Winchester Boulevard and Williamsburg Drive. Two men were stopped for a vehicle code violation. One had felony warrants for his arrest. A consent search of the vehicle revealed a loaded un-serialized firearm in the glove compartment.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE/RESISTING AN OFFICER: 8:21 p.m. at  Kim Louise Drive. A woman attempted to enter a vehicle not belonging to her. She was on formal probation and attempted to flee officers. She was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.

CORPORAL INJURY/VANDALISM: 10:51 p.m. in the 1800 block of Los Encantos Court. During an argument, the suspect destroyed the victim’s work phone. The victim tried to prevent him from doing so and suffered minor injuries. A restraining order was granted.

PUBLIC INTOXICATION: 1:30 a.m. in the 900 block of West Hamilton Avenue. A man was intoxicated and causing a disturbance at Speedway Gas Station.

Feb. 12

BATTERY: 3 a.m. in the 900 block of Ravenscourt Avenue. The victim said the suspect hit him multiple times, and he desired prosecution. The suspect was also in violation of three peaceful contact domestic violence restraining orders. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.
