Toronto Police have identified a suspect after a man and woman were attacked on a platform at a subway station.

Officers were called to an assault at the TTC Castle Frank Subway Station on Sept. 5, at 3:30 p.m., where a woman and a man were waiting for the subway on the eastbound platform.

There was an altercation as people began to board a subway train, according to police. An attacker punched a woman in the face, knocking her out, and also struck a man who stepped in to help.
The suspect, who fled, is described as 55-60 years old, with a large build, short dark hair, and a grey moustache.

Cops probe shooting
A person showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound after a shooting in Vaughan on Sunday, according to police.
York Regional Police reported the shooting happened just after 1 a.m. in the Hwy.7-Interchange Way area.

CP24 has reported a person suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound later attended a hospital. Police are trying to determine if this person was connected to the shooting.
There was no immediate information on a suspect or victim.
Police say they did find evidence of a shooting at the scene.
Cops sieze firearms
Toronto Police have made an arrest made in a firearms investigation.
Officers executed search warrants in the Browns Line-Evans Ave. area and seized three semi-automatic handguns, a long gun, and a large quantity of firearm ammunition.
Norman Craig, 69, of Toronto, faces a slew of weapons charges.
