(NewsNation) — It’s “gonna be a long, long time” before Sir Elton John swag like this is available again for purchase.
World-renowned auction house Christie’s has announced it is selling a collection of personal items from the British musician’s former home in Atlanta via a series of live auctions in Midtown Manhattan starting Feb. 21.
“The Collection of Sir Elton John: Goodbye Peachtree Road” includes a pair of silver leather platform boots expected to fetch up to $10,000; a Yamaha grand piano that could sell for as much as $50,000 or more; and a custom 1990 Bentley convertible that might go for upwards of $35,000.
John, who finished his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” final tour in July 2023, sold his Atlanta Peachtree condo in October for more than $7 million.
Earlier this year, the musician won his first Emmy, placing him in an elite group of “EGOT” performers who have received the television award, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony. Alongside his songwriting partner, Bernie Taupin, John is also due to receive the 2024 Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, which the Library of Congress calls the United States’ “highest award for influence, impact and achievement in the field of popular song.”
