Angelina Jolie’s father, Jon Voight, is “disappointed” by his daughter’s words on the Israel-Hamas war, declaring she has “no understanding of God’s honour.”

“This is about destroying the history of God’s land — the Holy Land — the land of the Jews. This is justice for God’s children of the holy land,” Voight said, chiding Jolie’s comments in a video titled “Truth and lies” that was posted to X. “The Israeli army must protect thy soil, thy people.”

Voight goes on to say, “This is war. It’s not going to be what the left thinks — it can’t be civil now. Israel was attacked by inhuman terror on innocent babies, mothers, fathers, grandparents … You fools calling Israel the problem should look at yourselves and ask, ‘Who am I?’ ‘What am I?’ Ask God, ‘Am I learning the truth or am I being lied to and following everyone else?”
The Palestinians, the Oscar winners continues in his three-minute video, “have not been neglected. They’ve been given huge infusions of money that (Hamas) didn’t share with the people. They made weapons, instead … The people of Israel care for people.”
Calling the attackers “animals,” Voight, who was seated in front of an American flag, hit out at the notion that Israel is killing innocent people “when all have free will to go.”

Last month, Jolie, also an Oscar winner who worked for over two decades with the United Nations’ refugee agency, condemned Hamas’ attack against Israel in a post on social media but said it did not justify “the innocent lives lost in bombing a civilian population in Gaza that has nowhere to go.”
“Like millions around the world I have spent the last weeks sick and angry at the terrorist attack in Israel, the death of so many innocent civilians, and wondering how best to help. I too am praying for the immediate, safe return of every hostage, and for the families who carry the unimaginable pain of a murder of a loved one. Above all, the children murdered, and the many children now orphaned,” she said in a post on Instagram.

“What happened in Israel is an act of terror. But that cannot justify the innocent lives lost in bombing a civilian population in Gaza that has nowhere to go, no access to food or water, no possibility of evacuation, and not even the basic human right to cross a border to seek refuge.”
In an interview with Piers Morgan that appeared in the New York Post, Israeli President Isaac Herzog also hit out at Jolie’s accusations that Israel is victimizing Palestinians with “nowhere to go.”
“I totally reject her claims. I think she’s never been in Gaza … to visit and see the facts on the ground,” Herzog said. “In Gaza now there is war, but there is no humanitarian crisis that does not enable them to survive. Angelina Jolie does not offer the Israeli people any ability to defend themselves by saying what she’s saying. And Gaza is a jail not because of Israel. Israel pulled out of Gaza. Gaza is an Iranian base filled with terror. Perhaps the outcome of this war will enable the Gazan people who deserve a decent good life to enjoy it under a different regime that will enable movement towards peace. You’ll tell me, of course, the civilians are not to blame. Fine, if the civilians are not to blame, then please enable Israel to uproot these terrorists.”
