The Ninja ZX-4R is already available in foreign markets, and will likely be brought to India in the same spec. That said, the globally available model makes use of a 399 cc inline four-cylinder engine putting out a whopping 79 hp of maximum power at 14,500 rpm with RAM air intake, and 39 peak torque at 13,000 rpm. The ZX-4R comes equipped with an upside-down fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is taken care of by dual 290 mm discs at the front paired with Nissin 4-piston calipers and a 220 mm single disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS. The Kawasaki motorcycle also gets an optional Akrapovič Carbon exhaust, and weighs 189 kg.
On the feature front, the ZX-4R comes equipped with a 4.3-inch digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, four riding modes (Sport, Road, Rain and Ride), traction control, assist and slipper clutch, and so on. The motorcycle is expected to be brought to the country through the CBU route, carrying a price tag of around Rs 7 – 8 lakh. Upon arrival, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R will likely go on to become the most affordable inline four motorcycle in the Indian market.
