A Kmart shopper has set tongues wagging after revealing how she scored a huge discount on a popular buy.
Sharing on social media, the savvy mum revealed how she picked up a $25 toy for a reduced price after noticing that it had been incorrectly placed in a section for similar items that were priced at $9.

Footage shared by the Kmart fan shows that at least eight Minecraft basketballs – which retail for $25 – had been placed in a display for regular basketballs, which are priced at $9.
After pointing out the error to a Kmart employee, the mum – who uses the handle @marriamgarrad_b – said the worker had “no choice” but to sell it to her at the reduced price.
7NEWS.com.au understands that there is no policy at Kmart that provides an automatic discount if an item is placed in the wrong section.
Sharing footage of her Kmart receipt, showing how she purchased the toy for $9, the shopper was keen to let others know about her experience.
“As I was saying at the beginning, and you happen to buy an item like me today,” she said.
“I happened to see a ball for my daughter. It’s a $25 ball, however it was put in a $9 section. These Minecraft ones aren’t $9.
“The lady had no choice but to give it to me at that price. It’s their fault.”
In the comments, she added: “I even showed the lady the section and she couldn’t deny it!
“And was like I have to put it through cause it was genuinely not my fault.”
Other social medias were quick to query the woman’s experience.
“They’ve never done that for me. They’ve always said, sorry someone must have put them in the wrong section,” one said.
Another added: “It’s different if it’s just one versus all of the stock.”
The mum agreed that this was more than just one item being placed in an incorrect section.
“One hundred per cent, you are correct,” she said. “If there’s a few items then that’s a mislabelling and at that price if that makes sense.”
