According to JDU General Secretary Ram Kumar Sharma, Singh proposed his resignation, and it was accepted by the party members. “Lalan Singh first proposed his resignation, and it was accepted. Simultaneously, the resolution was passed that Nitish Kumar would be the next president,” he said.
