Mahindra Thar, Scorpio, and Bolero Neo prices hiked: Here’s by how much

Mahindra and Mahindra have increased the prices for the Mahindra Thar, Scorpio-N and Bolero Neo SUVs in India. The Scorpio-N and the Thar are expensive by up to Rs 25,000 and Rs 14,000 respectively. The Bolero Neo too is dearer by up to Rs 10,000.

Talking about the price hike of the Thar, only the entry-level variants of the Thar have been hiked by Rs 10,000. The prices of other variants remain the same.The starting price of the base AX (O) Diesel MT RWD variant at Rs. 11.35 lakh, up from Rs. 11.25 lakh. The LX MT RWD diesel now costs Rs 12.85 and the LX petrol AT RWD costs Rs 14.1 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).

The Thar RWD is powered by a 1.5-litre turbo diesel which puts out 117hp and 300Nm of torque, it comes paired only with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The petrol version is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol which puts out 152hp and 320Nm of torque, gearbox options include a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic.
Now talking about the price hike of the Scorpio-N. The SUV is available in Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, Z8S, and Z8L variants. The Z2, and Z4 in the petrol and diesel as well as the Z6 diesel versions have witnessed a uniform price hike of Rs. 25,000. The price for the Z8 4X2 versions, across the petrol and diesel powertrains, have gone up by Rs. 10,000. With the price hike, the price for the Scorpio-N now ranges from Rs 13.85 lakh to 24.54 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Scorpio-N is offered with two engine options – a 2.0-litre, turbocharged petrol with 203 hp of power and 370Nm and 380Nm in the manual and automatic variants, respectively. Another engine is the 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine which comes with two state of tunes – 175hp and 370Nm (manual)/400Nm (automatic) and 132hp and 300nm. Both engines come paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The diesel version additionally is offered with 4×4 with multiple terrain models. The one being used for the Bharat drive is the 2.2-litre turbo diesel with 4×4.

The Bolero Neo is offered in N4, N8, N10 and N10 (O) variants. The prices of the latter two stay the same, the former two trims get price hikes of Rs 5,000 and 14,000, respectively. Prices for the SUV now start from Rs 9.94 lakh (ex-showroom). The Bolero Neo is powered by a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine which puts out 100 hp of power and 260 nm of torque. Gearbox options include only a 5-speed manual.
