Aashima Arora, an Indian investor in London, who was waiting for months, spent over Rs 4 lakh for a Schengen visa to Denmark. Despite preparing over 100 pages of documentation, her visa for Denmark she still didn’t receive it till the date of flight. She expressed her frustration on social media, hoping authorities would understand her need for a work-related visa. She expressed her frustration and shared all documents related to Visa processing on ‘X’.

Arora told Moneycontrol that although she has faced delays in the visa process earlier, this time, it cost her a flight and more than Rs 4 lakh in payment to agents to get a quicker visa appointment date.

Indian Investor Missed International Flight

‘’Europe, I promise I don’t want to marry your men or leave London to illegally stay in your cities. Also promise to spend > $250 a day. Please just grant me a TOURIST visa! Yes, that is 100+ pages of printed documents.’’ she wrote in a tweet.

Aashima Arora, a venture capitalist and partner at LocalGlobe from Delhi, also shared photos of the documentation (more than 100 pages) that she prepared for her visa appointment.

She expressed her hope that the authorities would understand her intention to travel for work, not to settle in Europe illegally.

Investor Post After Long Wait For Visa

Ashima wrote “Europe, I promise I don’t want to marry your men or leave London to illegally stay in your cities. Also promise to spend > $250 a day. Please just grant me a TOURIST visa!’’ she added, “Yes, that is 100+ pages of printed documents.”

Ashima said on her X account, ” I am an Indian passport holder with UK BRP. Have to do docs from both countries. Plus this was work related – hence lots of letters, approvals, confirmations etc beyond the typical tourist-y docs.”

They issued my wife a visa for dates starting after her flight’s departure date. Despite the million dox they took (inc the flight details).’’

User named Abid Masood stressed on need for paperless procedure said , ‘’This is why i always say ill believe in paperless world the day West will accept Asians online document submission for visas without a single printed paper.’’
