Hunter 350: Design
Talking about the design of the motorcycle, the bike gets a matte finish dual-tone paint job similar to the Scram 411. While the fuel tank has a dual-tone paint job, the rest of the motorcycle seems to be finished in all black, including the wheels. Just like most classic-styled Royal Enfield motorcycles, the Hunter 350 is completely devoid of chrome.
It gets a round shape for the headlight, round rear-view mirrors, 13-litre tear-drop-shaped fuel tank, and an instrument cluster similar to Scram 411 with the Tripper navigation system as an optional extra, 800mm tall single-piece seat, and a compact exhaust canister. The company is also offering optional accessories such as a flyscreen, bar-end mirrors, a flat seat, side pannier, pillion backrest, and engine crash protectors.
Hunter 350: Variants
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will be available in two variants – Metro and Retro. The Metro variant gets alloy wheels with a twin disc brake setup, dual-channel ABS and LED taillight. The Retro variant gets wire-spoke units, a drum brake at the rear, a halogen rear light, and single-channel ABS. The higher-end Metro version gets a dual-tone finish while the Retro variant features a single-tone paint job.
Hunter 350: Features
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 gets a halogen headlight and a semi-digital instrument cluster similar to other Royal Enfield’s. It gets an offset instrument cluster with a small Tripper navigation pod on the right, which will be offered as an optional extra only. The instrumental cluster includes information like a gear position indicator and service reminder. It also gets an integrated USB charging socket under the switchgear.
Hunter 350: Engine and Transmission
As mentioned previously, The Hunter 350 will be powered by the same engine as the Meteor 350, the new Classic 350, and also the upcoming new-generation Bullet 350. It’ll be a 349cc SOHC two-valve air-oil-cooled J-series engine that produces 20.2 hp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, paired with a five-speed gearbox. The top speed is rated at 114kmph while the claimed fuel economy stands at 36.2kmpl.
Hunter 350: Suspension and Brakes
The Suspension duties are covered by 41 mm forks up front with 130 mm travel and twin shock absorbers at the rear with six-step preload adjustability and 102 mm travel.
The bike gets 17-inch wheels shod with 110/70 section tyre up front and a 140/70 at the rear. It gets a 300 mm disc with a twin-piston calliper up front and a 270 mm at the rear, assisted by a dual-channel ABS.
Hunter 350: Price and Rivals
When launched, the Hunter 350 will go up against the likes of Honda CB 350 RS and TVS Ronin. Expect prices to start at Rs 1.7 lakh (ex-showroom).
