MUMBAI: The Shiv Sena (UBT) on Monday took a dig at CM Eknath Shinde over his decision to campaign for the BJP in the ensuing state elections including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Telangana. The Sena (UBT) in an editorial in Saamna, the party mouthpiece said that a duplicate Sena will enter the campaign for the BJP. The Sena (UBT) compared CM Shindeto a fictional character of ‘Allabaksh’ from late Ram Ganesh Gadkari’s musical play Ekach Pyala.The editorial said the irony is that the chief minister Shinde, is now going to campaign for the assembly elections in four states for the BJP. It is a joke that the duplicate Sena from Thane will campaign for BJP’s victory in the states. The Sena (UBT) asked why CM Shinde was not joining the BJP. The Sena (UBT) said the ‘Allabaksh’ of Maharashtra has come out to campaign for BJP since his ‘final destination’ is the same (BJP).
“Balasaheb Thackeray or Uddhav Thackeray were certainly in the National Democratic Alliance. Vajpayee-Advani ruled Delhi. For this, the Shiv Sena chief got them strong support from Maharashtra, but he did not go to other states and fall under the BJP. But today, since all the goods are fake, the gang of fake Shiv Sena is campaigning for BJP in four states. Well, what will their campaign issues be anyway? The theme of their campaign will be to praise Modi-Shah and show that Shiv Sena (fake) is your pet. He will promote BJP in other provinces by throwing water on the ideology and culture of Maharashtra. Why doesn’t he join BJP directly? This is the question people are asking,” the Saamna edit stated.
The Sena (UBT) said that the BJP was drowning in the arrogance of money.
Gadkari’s play portrays two fictional characters ‘Ved Shastri Shastribuva’ and ‘Allabaksh’ who engage in an ideological debate after a bout of heavy drinking and after some time forget their original roles and advocate the opposing ideology. Shastribuva praises the greatness of Islam while Allabakhsh speaks eloquently about the greatness of Hinduism.
“The drama being performed in the ‘Arya Madira Mandal’ of the play ‘Ekach Pyala’ is going on in the politics of Maharashtra now. Chief Minister Shinde is currently playing the role of Allabakhsh and he is propagating the hypocritical Hindutva of BJP,” the Saamna edit stated.
“Shinde sometimes goes on a pilgrimage and often touches the feet of Delhi. Now to entertain himself, he is devoting himself to BJP’s campaign. It is good that within a year they have realized that there is nothing special left in the campaign of fake and duplicate Shiv Sena. The ‘Allabakhsh’ of Maharashtra has come out to campaign for BJP.
