Sonet: Kia Sonet facelift bookings to open tomorrow: Booking amount, expected price, features, specifications and more

Kia India recently revealed the 2024 Kia Sonet facelift to the Indian market. The new Sonet facelift gets minor cosmetic changes, improved dynamics, additional features, added safety, a new gearbox and much more. Ahead of its launch, the bookings for the SUV will commence from tomorrow i.e., December 20. Kia is expected to launch the new Sonet in the coming days and the deliveries will commence in January 2024, except for the Diesel MT variants, which is scheduled for February 2024.

Customers can also get quicker deliveries with the special Kia K-code.Existing Kia owners can generate the K-code from Kia India’s website by entering their vehicle details, or on the MyKia app. The generated unique K-code can then be used at the time of booking for priority delivery. The K-code will only be applicable for bookings made through the website, specifically on December 20th, 2023, starting from 12 AM to 11:59 PM.

The new Kia Sonet facelift will get new boomerang-shaped headlamp clusters up front with an L-shaped pattern for the DRLs. As per the teaser, new LED fog lamps will be placed on the lower portion of the bumper and the signature grille is now slightly wider and sharper than before. At rear, it features vertical tail lamps connected together with an LED strip running across the width.

Talking about the changes inside, the overall layout remains same as the previous model. But the new Sonet gets re-designed climate control panel and a fresh black upholstery with brown inserts. In terms of features, the new Sonet gets twin 10.25-inch displays for infotainment and the other for the digital instrument cluster. It also gets ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, built-in air purifier, 70+ connected car features, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, rear sun shades, connected car tech, sunroof and much more.

The Sonet facelift also gets six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC), and 10 ADAS features. It also gets “Find My Kia” feature also offering a surround-view of the car via the smartphone app.
The new Sonet will be offered in three engine and five gearbox options. The Sonet will get a a 1.2-litre NA Petrol engine which puts out 82 bhp of power and 115 Nm of peak torque. Engine comes paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Second engine is the 1.0-litre, 3-cyl turbo petrol engine which puts out 118 bhp of power and 172 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes paired with a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT gearbox. Third engine option is the 1.5-litre turbo diesel which puts out 114 bhp of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine will be available with a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT and a torque converter automatic.
