The trio was unaware police were also at the scene.

When police attempted to arrest the trio, they ran off.

Two were not immediately found however, officers said the 17-year-old boy climbed onto the roof of a nearby building and stayed there for a few hours as police negotiated with him.

Officers eventually brought in a cherry picker and were able to “bring the 17-year-old back down safely and take him into custody”, police said.

As this was happening, a 35-year-old Woodridge man and a 14-year-old Edens Landing girl, both believed by police to be associates of the boy, arrived in an allegedly stolen Toyota Yaris.
