Terrorism: Hybrid terrorist of TRF arrested in Srinagar: Police

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday arrested a hybrid terrorist of The Resistance Front (TRF) along with a hand grenade in Srinagar.
Srinagar police in a post on “X”, formerly known as Twitter, said that the terrorist was identified as Mohd Yawar Rangrez of Firdousabad locality of Batamaloo in Srinagar city.
The police added that a case FIR no 37/2023 has been registered at Kothibagh police station.
“A Hybrid terrorist of TRF namely Mohd Yawar Rangrez S/o Abdul Rashid Rangeez R/o Firdousabad, Batmaloo arrested by Srinagar Police with one Hand grenade. FIR no 37/2023 registered in Kothibagh PS,” police said
J&K police on August 4, last month arrested three terrorist associates linked with proscribed terror outfit TRF, offshoot of proscribed terror outfit LeT from Natipora area of Srinagar.
The Srinagar police at a checkpoint established at Harnabal at Natipora in Srinagar had arrested three terrorist associates linked with proscribed terrorist outfit TRF and were identified as Imran Ahmad Najar son of Late Abdul Rehman Najar resident of Bulbul Bagh Baramulla, Waseem Ahmad Matta son of Tariq Ahmad Matta resident of Qamarwari Srinagar and Wakeel Ahmad Bhat son of Nazir Ahmad Bhat resident of Pazalpora Bijbehara
