Xiaomi will offer the SU7 with two powertrain options – a rear-wheel-drive version with a 220 kW (295 hp) motor and a top speed of 210 kmph, along with a dual-motor, four-wheel-drive version with 495 kW (664 hp) of maximum power and a 265 kmph top speed.According to the MIIT filing, there will be three versions on offer i.e. SU7, SU7 Pro and SU7 Max.

The Xiaomi SU7 measures 4,997 mm in length, 1,963 mm in width, stands 1,455 mm tall and boasts a 3,000 mm long wheelbase, with wheel sizes ranging from 19-inches to 20-inches. Depending on the version, the electric sedan tips the scale at 1,980 – 2,205 kg. On the entry-level trim(s), Xiaomi will offer a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery sourced from BYD, while the higher variants will be equipped with a larger CATL battery pack.
Do note that the exact battery sizes as well as the range of the SU7 are yet to be ascertained. The SU7 will be equipped with Xiaomi’s HyperOS, an in-house developed operation system that can power both smartphones and cars. Mass production is set to commence later this year, with deliveries expected to start from February 2024. Upon arrival in China, the Xiaomi SU7 will take on the likes of Tesla Model 3, BYD Seal, BMW i4, and other similarly priced EVs.
